Pork and Chorizo Burger with Piri Piri Fries

Fire up your taste buds with these bold and juicy chorizo burgers, packed with flavour and topped with a spicy sriracha mayo. Served with piri piri fries, it’s the ultimate homemade burger night upgrade.

Pork and Chorizo Burger with Piri Piri Fries

Ingredients

600g Pork Mince

160g Cooking Chorizo chopped into cubes

25g Chopped Onion

10g Garlic Puree

1 Egg

25g Breadcrumbs

5g Oregano

Salt and Pepper

 

4 Slices of Cheddar Cheese

120g Mayonnaise

20g Sriracha

1 Gem Lettuce

1 Sliced Red Onion

4 Burger Buns

4 Portions Skin on Fries

Piri Piri Spice

The method

1. Add chorizo, egg, garlic, oregano and onion to the mince and mix it altogether. 

2. Add the breadcrumbs and the seasoning to the mix. 

3. Split the mix into 4 equal round patties and retain to one side. 

4. Add the mayonnaise to the sriracha and mix together. 

5. Chargrill or shallow fry the patties until cooked. 

6. To assemble the dish, spread each bun with the sauce and top with the pattie, cheese, gem lettuce and red onions. Serve along with the fries tossed in piri piri seasoning. 

7. Enjoy!
