Net Deposit Limit
What is a Net Deposit Limit?
Your Net Deposit Limit works a bit differently. It takes into account your withdrawals alongside your Deposit Limit.
If you deposit £100 and then withdraw £40, your Net Deposit total would be £60.
It’s designed to give you a clearer picture of the money you’ve committed to playing with in your set time period.
How does it work?
Choose a limit amount and a time period - daily, weekly or monthly. Your net deposit total is tracked throughout that period. If a deposit would take your net total over your limit, it’ll be blocked.
- Lowering your limit takes effect straight away.
- Raising your limit takes 24 hours to cool off before you log back in and accept the change. This gives you time to think it over and make sure it’s right for you.
Because withdrawals reduce the amount counted toward your Net Deposit Limit, that figure can go down after a withdrawal. Don’t worry, that’s normal. This limit tracks what you’ve actually spent rather than each individual top-up.
Where do I find it?
My Account → safeplay → Net Deposit Limit
You’ll see your current limit and how much of it you’ve used in your current period.
How does it work with my Deposit Limit?
Your Deposit Limit and Net Deposit Limit work together.
- Your Deposit Limit tracks all deposits made in the period
- Your Net Deposit Limit tracks deposits after withdrawals have been taken off
To make sure both tools work as intended, your Net Deposit Limit should be set lower than your Deposit Limit.
Here’s why that matters.
- If both limits are the same, for example £100 weekly:
- You deposit £100. Both limits are reached at the same time.
- You withdraw £50. Your Net Deposit Limit drops to £50 used, but your Deposit Limit stays at £100 used.
Your Net Deposit Limit now shows £50 used, but your Deposit Limit is already reached, making the Net Deposit Limit redundant.
If your Net Deposit Limit is set lower, for example Net £100 and Deposit £200 weekly:
- You deposit £100. You’ve used £100 of your £200 Deposit Limit, and you’ve reached your £100 Net Deposit Limit.
- You withdraw £50. Your Deposit Limit stays at £100 used. Your Net Deposit Limit drops to £50 used.
- You deposit £50. You’ve now used £150 of your Deposit Limit and reached your Net Deposit Limit again.
See the difference? With the Net Deposit Limit set lower, it's the one keeping you in check - letting you deposit again after a withdrawal, but only up to your net cap. That's the protection working as it should.
